After many years of experience in visual and conceptual problem solving in diverse settings from small business to corporate, I was ready for something new. The Seattle AIGA Changemakers program introduced me to human centered design and seeing how it can impact the world.
Three years and a UW HCDE masters program later, it’s been exciting to incorporate UX design, research and a human centered focus into my work. I thrive on thoughtful team collaboration and helping manage projects that navigate the needs of everyone involved.
My current human centered design skills include strategic thinking, UX research (qualitative research methods, session moderation, user testing) and UX design (creating process artifacts such as wireframing, journey maps and prototyping). In addition to proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, I also have a special interest in discursive design and the informative light it can shed on design needs.
